Elder Leon Earl Cooper

Elder Leon Earl Cooper, age 66, of Statesboro, Ga., passed away on Tuesday, July 2, 2024, at East Georgia Regional Medical Center.

He is the son of the late Dea. Printice Cooper and Sis. Sarah Mae Cooper.

Leon was self-employed as a mason and was a member of The Pentecostal Church of God in Statesboro, Ga.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Sis. Gladys Cooper; siblings, Mrs. Dorothy Jones, Mrs. Valerie Smith, Mrs. Elizabeth Cooper, Mr. Curtis Cooper and Mr. Randolph Cooper.

He is survived by his loving and devoted children, Mrs. Glanesa (Stanley) Scott, Statesboro, Ga.; Mrs. Anitrice (Antonio) Aguilar, Macon, Ga.; Mr. Deleon Cooper, Valdez, Alaska; Mr. Terrance (April) Cooper, Statesboro, Ga.; and Mr. Clerrance (Constance) Cooper, Detroit, Mich.; sisters, Mrs. Marilyn (Robert) Easterling, South Carolina; Mrs. Joyce Cooper and Mrs. Carolyn Cooper, both of Statesboro, Ga.; brothers, Mr. Jerry Cooper and Mr. Connell Cooper, both of Statesboro, Ga.; and a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, the PCG family, other relatives and friends.

The celebration of life service was held graveside on Saturday, July 6, 2024, at 2:30 p.m. at Eastside Cemetery, 1502 Northside Drive, Statesboro, GA 30458 with Overseer James Stoudemire and Pastor Elder Antonio Clayton, eulogist.
