Mr. Howard “Wayne” Hadley
STATESBORO, Ga. -- Mr. Howard “Wayne” Hadley, age 66, died on Sunday, November 18th, 2018, at Ogeechee Area Hospice inpatient facility, following a short battle with cancer.
    He was born in Perdido, Ala., on January 14th, 1952, to Mr. Tink Hadley and Mrs. Doris Emmons Hadley.
    He worked as a truck driver and drag line operator before retiring from the City of Statesboro in January of 2017.
    He loved to hunt and fish, loved his animals and enjoyed working in the garden.
    He was a loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather, and was well known for his great sense of humor.
    He was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers, Harold Ray Hadley and James Russell Hadley.
    He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Kay Smith Hadley of Portal; his son, Justin Hadley; his two daughters, Tracey Hadley and Angela Salyers; a stepdaughter, Monica Dent; a special grandson, Xander Hadley; as well as several other grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
    The service will be held at a later date.
    The family requests that memorial contributions be made to Ogeechee Area Hospice, P.O. Box 531, Statesboro, GA 30459.
