Angela “Angel” Goodwin Lancaster
ELLABELL, Ga. -- Angela “Angel” Goodwin Lancaster, age 47, died Saturday, June 30, 2018, at Memorial Health University in Savannah.
    Angel was born in Springfield and lived in Bulloch County and Mansfield, Ohio, before moving to Ellabell five years ago. She was a graduate of Statesboro High School.
    She enjoyed boating, spending time with her family and cooking, especially baking. One of her greatest joys was spending time with her grandchildren, whom she adored.
    Angel was preceded in death by her fathers, Jerry Durrence and Gerald Bessey; grandparents, Jack Rogers and Claudie Nesmith; and nephews, Jerry III and Justin.
    Surviving are her husband of five years, John Lancaster; two daughters, Corie Bond (Jeremy) and Cheyanne Maynor (Manuel); four sons, Cody Perry, Brian Maynor, James Lancaster (Brittany) and Matthew Lancaster; her mother, Jeanette Bessey; four sisters, Nancy ”Lee”, Anna, Carla and Loutitia; four brothers, Jerry, Bobby, James, Lil Tommy; and 11 grandchildren, Andrew, Wyatt, Madyson, Baylie, Conner, Spencer, Oliver, Patrick, Hayden, Addison and Hazelynn.
    A memorial service will be held on Friday, July 6, 2018, at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Joiner-Anderson Funeral Home with the Reverend Kevin Drake officiating.
