Ogeechee Area Hospice and the American Legion Dexter Allen Post 90 held a "Vietnam Veterans Welcome Home" ceremony on Saturday, March 28, at the Post headquarters on Rucker Lane in Statesboro. Members of all branches of the military — U.S. Army, Marines, Navy, Air Force and Coast Guard — were honored with a luncheon, a certificate and a pin. Pastor John Waters with Statesboro First Baptist offered remarks and thanks to the veterans at the event.
