Two men suffered serious injury Sunday when the driver lost control of a truck on Kelly Pond Road near Interstate 16 and U.S. 301 South.

Georgia State Patrol Sr. Trooper Tommy Sisson said charges are pending against Stacy Wilkerson, 30, Johnson Street, who was driving a white 1989 Chevrolet truck westbound on Kelly Pond Road around 9:52 p.m. Sunday when he lost control of the truck on a curve.

Wilkerson's truck overturned into a ditch, causing injuries that sent him to East Georgia Regional Medical Center, Sisson said.

As passenger, Clarence Hodges Jr., 43, Claxton, was also injured. He was transported to Evans Memorial Hospital, Sisson said.

Sisson's preliminary reports did not include additional details regarding the pending charges or injuries.
