Two women involved in an alleged domestic dispute at a Statesboro gas station were arrested on outstanding warrants for passing fake $100 bills.
Statesboro police Detective Sgt. Patrick Haralson said officers responded to an undisclosed location Saturday to a call about two people in a heated dispute.
Upon speaking with the women, officers learned they were wanted regarding “an old case” in which they reportedly passed several counterfeit $100 bills at various locations in the city, he said.
Shelby Leigh Kirk, 27, and Tiffany Marie Martin, 38, both of Hiltonia-Perkins Road in Sylvania, were each charged with six counts of first-degree forgery, he said.
They were taken to the Bulloch County Jail, where they remained Monday without bond, according to jail records.
