The Statesboro-Bulloch Parks & Recreation 2019 Trick or Treat event is set for Tuesday at 5 p.m. at Mill Creek Regional Park.

Next Tuesday, the Statesboro-Bulloch County Parks and Recreation Department will host its annual Trick or Treat at Mill Creek Park.

Festivities will get underway at 5 p.m. and end at 7 p.m. Trick or Treat at Mill Creek Park offers a family-friendly Halloween atmosphere to celebrate the fall season. The event will have a large candy trail, games, a hay ride, inflatables, horseback rides and more.

More than 40 local businesses and organizations will be part of the large candy trail giving out goodies and/or providing games and activities.

While the candy trail, games, inflatables and hay rides are free, the horseback rides are $5 each –with the proceeds benefiting the Recreation Department’s Stirrup Some Fun Therapeutic Horseback Riding Program.

This year’s date has been moved from the traditional Friday-before Halloween to Tuesday “so that people may enjoy the Kiwanis Club Ogeechee Fair” said Event Coordinator, Kimberly Sharpe. “We have 43 local businesses and organizations that have agreed to the date change so they can help us provide a fun and safe event for our citizens.”

For this event, there is no parking allowed on Beasley Road or at Mill Creek Elementary. Plenty of parking is available inside Mill Creek Park.

Trick or Treat at Mill Creek is sponsored by the Kiwanis Club of Statesboro, Coca-Cola, Northland Cable, WingMaxx, Statesboro Golf Carts, Crazy Nick’s Inflatables, and Chick-fil-A.
