Strong arm robbery in Portal
Two report assault at mobile home park
Vastie Mosley

Two Portal area victims reported being assaulted and robbed Sunday evening, and responding Bulloch County Sheriff's deputies arrested two suspects on robbery and battery charges, said Bulloch County Sheriff Lynn Anderson.
Deputies responded to a Horsefly Road residence, where the two victims said they had been "physically assaulted and robbed of personal belongings" at a Moore Road Mobile Home Park location, he said.
Deputies went to the scene and spoke with several witnesses, who offered information on the "strong-arm robbery," he said. The information provided by witnesses led to the arrests of Walter Floyd Bunch, 17, R.V. Williford's Mobile Home Park, Portal; and Vastie Mosley, 19, Moore Road, Portal.
Both are charged with two counts each of strong arm robbery, battery, and disorderly conduct. Bunch was taken into custody "almost immediately" from a Portal area residence, while Mosley turned himself in "later (Monday) morning," Anderson said. Both are held currently without bond "pending further judicial action," he said.
Anderson also expressed appreciation for support by the Portal Police Department in connection with the case. "I would like to thank Portal Police Chief Jason Sapp for his assistance," he said.
