Statesboro woman charged with abusing daughter, 3

    A Statesboro woman is under arrest for allegedly abusing her three-year old daughter.
    Katilya Monique Green, 25, of Broad Street was arrested Wednesday after police were notified of a report of possible child abuse.  Corporal Ben Pervus, officer Nick Green and detective Ken Scott responded to East Georgia Regional Medical Center and met with the victim and hospital staff.
    Scott was informed by medical staff that the child's injuries consisted of several broken bones, lacerations and bruises in various states of healing throughout her face and body.
    After further investigation by Scott and officer Green, Katiliya Green was arrested for cruelty to children in the first degree, cruelty to children in the second degree, two counts of aggravated battery and one count of aggravated assault.
    The Department of Family and Children Services was notified and is also involved in the continuing investigation and assessment of the suspect's other children.
    Green was turned over to the Bulloch County Jail awaiting bond and possible further charges.
