Charged with misdemeanor failure to report child abuse

Police arrested Statesboro High School Principal Dr. Marty Waters on Friday on a charge that he failed to report sexual abuse of a child in a timely manner. Waters was arrested during an investigation into reported sexual assaults last week by two SHS assistant coaches against two separate 16-year-old girls. He was charged with failure to report child abuse, a misdemeanor, taken to the Bulloch County Jail and granted a $2,000 bond.
