South Georgia Center for Cancer Care will host its free Cancer Survivor Day celebration on Friday from 4:30-8 p.m. at The Hall by 40 East Grill on 19B S. Vine St. All cancer survivors, family, friends and caregivers, as well as Statesboro residents and visitors, are invited to attend the annual event. "Survivor Day is a celebration of life in our community," said Dr. Marc Apple, board-certified radiation oncologist at the Center for Cancer Care. "It is a day of encouragement and camaraderie for cancer survivors, family, friends and caregivers.
