A woman who showed up drunk for jail visitation Saturday remained behind bars Tuesday after jail staff found pot in her pocket, authorities said. During visitation hours at the Bulloch County Jail Saturday morning, around 8:30 a.m., Lydia Michelle Swearingain, 37, Cypress Pond Road, Sylvania, was "... using profanity, yelling and not following directions while in visitation," said Bulloch County sheriff's Deputy Jeffrey Thompson, who responded to a call for assistance by jail employee Lt. Jean West. In his report, Thompson said, "Lt. West asked the offender if she had been drinking and she said yes."
