Statesboro police have identified a person of interest in a recent convenience store armed robbery and hope the public can help locate him.
Detectives want to question Keith Rayvone Spells, 20, who is “known to hang out at Park Place” apartments and has family living in Plantation Villas, according to a post on the Statesboro Police Department’s Facebook Page.
Detective Keith Holloway said Spells is wanted for questioning about a July 25 armed robbery in which a masked man entered the Zip ’n’ Go on Chandler Road and demanded cash. He also asked for a pack of Newport cigarettes.
No one was injured in the incident, and the suspect fled on foot.
While Spells has not been named a suspect in the robbery, he is wanted on a probation warrant as well as a criminal trespass warrant from Georgia Southern University Police.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Holloway at (912) 764-9911.

Holli Deal Bragg may be reached at (912) 489-9414.
