Two men were caught on camera early Monday morning as they broke into a convenience store near Interstate 16.
The men, both black wearing black clothing, were captured on surveillance video as they took cash and cigarettes from the store, according to a report by Bulloch County sheriff’s Deputy Jeffery White.
Once White arrived at the scene at El Cheapo on Ga. 67 in response to an alarm call, he noted that the front glass of the store had been shattered.
A store employee reported four cartons of Newport cigarettes were stolen, as well as $400 from the cash register and $500 from underneath the counter.
The surveillance video showed the men inside the store but did not record footage of a getaway vehicle, the report says.
The case was turned over to Investigator Jason Long.
Anyone with information should call the Bulloch County Sheriff’s Office at (912) 764-8888.
