▲ LEAH LANE — Someone reported a suspicious incident. Reports stated there was nothing missing from the home.

▲ HIGHWAY 80 WEST — A man said he found another male in his yard, talking in a “manner that made no sense.” Deputies had the suspicious man taken to the hospital for an evaluation.

▲ CLITO ROAD — A man caught another male on his porch, “going through” his belongings. Deputies soon located the offender, who admitted having been on the complainant’s property without consent. He was taken to jail.

▲ HERSCHEL DRIVE — A woman reported a trash can rented from a local trash pickup company was missing. The company denied taking it and said it had been returned after disposal.

▲ BEN GRADY COLLINS ROAD — A man said he purchased a travel trailer on eBay, but it was not delivered as promised. He feels he was scammed.

▲ SUMMER WIND DRIVE — Someone reported a simple assault and deputies gave them information on seeking warrants.

▲ TWIN FORKS ROAD — A woman reported a felony theft. Reports did not list details of items taken.

▲ DOGWOOD ACRES MOBILE HOME PARK — A woman told deputies she met a man 10 years ago online and has traveled twice to Anchorage, Alaska to meet him. The last trip she discovered he was married and told him she didn’t want to speak to him again, she said. The woman told deputies that after that, weird things have been happening such as her computer background keeps changing without her doing so. She said she sent 18 emails to the FBI but they never responded, so she called and they denied getting her emails. Then, she told deputies President Donald Trump had called her and spoke with her several minutes, but when she called back to talk to him about the suspicious things happening, she got his secretary, who said he was out of office. Deputies called a number she said was the married man from Alaska, but it was not a working number.

▲ CYPRESS LAKE ROAD — A woman called, reporting seeing a man in the woods with a phone. As deputies patrolled the area, she called again to report having seen him a second time. Deputies located the man, identified hi, and warned him against trespassing.

▲ WOLFPEN LANE/CYPRESS LAKE ROAD — An investigation into a suspicious vehicle at a Pineland Rehabilitation facility resulted in arrest for marijuana possession.

▲ PLESS CLIFTON ROAD — A woman said she and a man had an agreement they would split hay grown on her property, with him baling it and both of them fertilizing it. The man tried taking all the hay and told the woman he would just give her $450 for land rental. She said she spent $300 on fertilizer. They argued and he left some hay, but it was scattered on the field. She was given advice on magistrate procedures.

▲ HOBBY LOBBY — A woman was arrested after shoplifting a $5 container of paint.

▲ ROBIN HOOD TRAIL — A man said he was kicked and punched at another location. The offender was located and arrested.

▲ THE HUDSON APARTMENTS — Officers responded to a simple battery call where a woman asked that her brother be removed from the apartment. She was given warrant advice.

▲ HIGHWAY 67 — A man was arrested on charges of firing a gun while under the influence, reckless conduct and firing a gun on the property of another.

▲ Officers issued one traffic citation and no traffic warnings and assisted one motorist.

▲ G LOT — Someone reported a suspicious person/activities, and three other people reported entering auto incidents.

▲ FAIR ROAD — A person was arrested for expired tag, possession of less than an ounce of marijuana and possession/use of a drug related object.

▲ SOUTHERN PINES — A person was judicially referred to university officials for discipline over an alcohol violation.
