Statesboro Police Department
LESTER ROAD - A man and woman argued over insurance problems, and someone called police.
UNIVERSITY PLAZA - A man suffered fractures to his nose and orbital socket during a physical fight. The case is being investigated, and no further details were available.
WAL-MART SUPERCENTER - Someone was caught on video stealing a TV and a food item worth $1.25. The person was not apprehended.
CHANDLER ROAD/GEORGIA AVENUE - Police investigated a hit-and-run accident.
RENAISSANCE APARTMENTS - A man found asleep inside a vacant apartment was arrested. He forced his way into the apartment, causing damage.
Bulloch County Sheriff's Office
OLD DONALDSON SCHOOL ROAD - A woman paid a man $2,900 by check to perform roof repairs. He did not show up, and the company owner promised to make it right. He said the employee had done similar things in the past and had ruined his reputation. A warrant was issued for the offender's arrest.
JOSH SMITH ROAD - Deputies responding to a call about a suspicious vehicle arrested a man on outstanding warrants from Missouri. A woman that was with him fled for no known reason, he said.
WESTSIDE ROAD - A man called deputies about a cement truck stuck on his property, which caused damages. The truck owner paid the property owner for damages.
A to Z/BUDDY'S TRUCK STOP - A man reported the theft of an 18-wheeler.
Georgia Southern University Police
Officers issued three traffic citations and two traffic warnings and assisted six motorists.
