Bulloch Strong, Inc. and Bulloch VOAD announced a donation last week of a set of chainsaws and related equipment to the Bulloch County Emergency Management Agency and Bulloch County Animal Control.

Emergency Management Agency Director Corey Kemp made the request in the event of a natural disaster so the Animal Control team would be able to assist with minor clean-ups with chainsaws and emergency warning kits.

In prior support of the community, Bulloch Strong has contributed to the Statesboro Food Bank for the installation of generator equipment as well as the completion of a covered outdoor patio and pavilion.

"We are grateful for a generous gift which helped support these efforts and strengthen our community's preparedness," Kemp said.

He also expressed the importance of the potential opportunities this provides in the future.

"This is another step in EMA's commitment to being more storm-ready, proactive, and prepared to respond before, during, and after an event. Working together with our community partners helps ensure Bulloch County is ready when our residents need us most."
