INCIDENTS
Statesboro Police Department

SOUTH COLLEGE STREET - A man reported being stabbed in the arm with a pair of scissors by another man. The complainant was treated at the hospital and signed a waiver of prosecution stating he did not wish to press charges, then was arrested for contempt of court, as he previously had been banned from Bulloch County.

BAY TREE LANE - A man reported a weed eater and hedge trimmer stolen from the bed of his pickup truck.
VETERAN'S MEMORIAL PARKWAY/LANIER DRIVE - A deputy stopped a man who was not wearing a seatbelt and discovered the car he was driving had been stolen in Polk County. The man was arrested and the car placed on hold for investigation and eventual return to owners.
CIRCLE DRIVE - Deputies speaking with a man who reportedly had been verbally abusing a juvenile for not cleaning house was arrested because he would not stop cursing in front of the child while deputies were there.
OLD RIVER ROAD NORTH - A man reported the theft of a Browning 9 mm handgun and a black mountain bike.
CYPRESS LAKE ROAD - A man and woman said their son became angry during an argument about the amount of time he spends on Facebook and his poor grades. The teen reportedly broke several household items before leaving the house. He was found and arrested.
OLD REGISTER ROAD - Deputies arrested a man who was extremely intoxicated, wearing one shoe and no shirt, who kept telling them his name was Jesus Christ.

Officers issued two traffic citations and two traffic warnings and assisted one motorist.
