Statesboro Police Department
PACKINGHOUSE ROAD — A woman said she received several unwanted phone calls and texts from a woman she knows little about, asking about family issues.
KMART — A man was arrested for shoplifting $61 worth of unlisted items. It was his second offense.
BELK — Two were arrested for shoplifting $75 worth of clothes.
Bulloch County Sheriff’s Office
SUMMERWIND PLACE — A man and his adult son were arrested for night hunting and other hunting violations.
HOLLAND DRIVE — Deputies responding to a domestic call found a victim with visible injuries. The other party had left the scene.
GUS DENMARK ROAD — A man and his son argued and fought over a hay bale that burned by accident. Alcohol was reportedly involved.
CLITO ROAD — A juvenile girl was dropped off by her father at her mother’s house, because he did not like that she was dating a person of another race. She was supposed to be with her father for visitation. The girl told deputies her mother was yelling at her because of her dating a boy of a different race, and did not want her home either. The girl was returned to her father’s for the evening. The juvenile told deputies all she wanted was “to be alone and write poetry.”
HIGHWAY 119 — A man reported receiving unwanted calls from a man threatening to kill him, his girlfriend and then shoot himself in the complainant’s back yard.
D .ANDERSON ROAD — A woman said she tried ending a relationship with a man who chased her around the yard and pushed her. He started beating her and bit her hands when she used them as shields, she said. He was arrested.
DRY BRANCH VILLAGE — A man told deputies he was visiting a friend when another man struck him for an unknown reason.

Officers issued one traffic citations, no traffic warnings and assisted two motorists.

Troopers investigated 16 crashes with five reported injuries; 17 speeding citations and 40 warnings; three seatbelt warnings and one child restraint warning.
