A man is behind bars after a woman told Statesboro Police he molested her juvenile child.
    Officers charged Joseph B. Collins, 21, Roundtree Street, with child molestation and enticing a child for indecent purposes, said Statesboro Public Safety Director Wendell Turner.
     “The offender made contact with the 13-year-old victim and invited her to his residence on Roundtree Street where he began to touch her in an inappropriate manner,” he said.
    Police reports list Louetta Moore Park as the secondary location, where Collins likely first made contact with the child.
    After questioning the complainant and victim, police then contacted Collins. Officers took Collins into custody and booked him on the charges at the Bulloch County Jail, Turner said.
    Collins is being held in the jail pending further court proceedings, he said.
