Bulloch County Sheriff's investigators are seeking a man they said robbed a Statesboro convenience store March 6 and hope citizens will come forward with information regarding the suspect's location.
Warrants have been issued for Alfonzo Wooten, 42, address unknown, said Bulloch County Sheriff's Chief Deputy Gene McDaniel.
Wooten, charged with armed robbery, is also wanted by the Savannah Department of Pardons and Paroles for a parole violation, he said.
Wooten entered the Mighty Mike's Hot Stop on U.S. 80 East near Grove Lakes subdivision early in the morning March 6, buying a cup of coffee. He returned an hour later and indicated he had a gun, then robbed the store, according to reports.
Wooten was released from prison March 22, 2006, following having served almost 12 years of a 20-year sentence for a burglary conviction in Telfair County, according to the Georgia Department of Corrections web site (www.dcor.state.ga.us ).
He has an extensive criminal record, including convictions in Dodge County for violation of motor vehicle laws;  a 1985 burglary conviction in Dekalb County; and an escape charge in Telfair County. He has served six prison terms since 1981, according to the web site.
McDaniel asked that anyone with information regarding Wooten's whereabouts or about the robbery to contact Bulloch County Sheriff's Investigator J. B. Long at 764-1747 or 764-8888.
