No charges are expected in connection with a July 15 accident in which a teenage boy was killed. Shyheim Mack, 14, of Sixth Avenue in Millen, was crossing Veterans Memorial Parkway around 10 that night, near the intersection with Lanier Drive, when he was struck by a car driven by Jerry Lann, 51, of Millen, Statesboro Public Safety Director Wendell Turner said. Mack was crossing against the light, and Lann had the right of way, Turner said.
