A man tried to rob Statesboro's CVS Pharmacy Wednesday night, but clerks citing security measures thwarted his attempt, police said. Statesboro police hope the public will recognize the offender from surveillance video still shots, Statesboro Public Safety Director Wendell Turner said. Around 11:30 p.m. Wednesday, a black male wearing a white shirt, navy blue hat with the letter "S" on front, black pants and dark shoes entered the drugstore with a handgun drawn, pointing it and demanding money.
