An unidentified man was shot twice in the leg early Monday morning but refused to cooperate with police and would not press charges.

Statesboro police incident reports stated the male victim was near Dunlap and Butler streets around 2:52 a.m. when he was shot. Statesboro police information specialist Madison Bridges said the man suffered two gunshot wounds to the thigh.

He was taken by Bulloch County EMS to East Georgia Regional Medical Center, where he was "uncooperative with police, EMS and the doctors." The victim refused to allow the incident to be pursued, she said.
