A Pembroke man was killed Monday night after his vehicle left the roadway and struck a tree.
Jeffrey Lester Grimes, 44, Old Groveland Road, Pembroke, was traveling west on Old Groveland Road around 7:15 p.m. when he apparently lost control of his 1990 Chevrolet Blazer , and left the roadway while he was negotiating a curve, according to reports by Georgia State Patrol Trooper First-Class Rob Sawyer.
Grimes was pronounced dead at the scene, and was taken to East Georgia Regional Medical Center by the Bulloch County coroner, according to reports.
