Man arrested for sending sexually graphic images to daughter
Victim is 16 years old
Robert Andrew Groover

A Jesup man faces charges in Bulloch County after he reportedly sent graphic sexual messages via social media to his own daughter.

Robert Andrew Groover, 46, of Jesup, is charged with sexual exploitation of a child and electronically furnishing obscene material to a minor, said Bulloch County sheriff's Chef Deputy Jared Akins.

The mother of the 16-year-old victim reported the incidents on Jan. 30, filing a report at the sheriff's office, he said. She told investigators that Groover sent "inappropriate Facebook messages and images ... to her daughter," Akins said, describing the material sent as "graphic sexual images and solicitations."

Investigator Dusty Williams issued a warrant for Groover's arrest. Groover was arrested by members of the U.S. Marshals Service's Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force and extradited to Bulloch County.

"He remains without bond at the Bulloch County Jail," Akins said.
