A man stabbed in the side by his brother Sunday is in stable condition, but the brother remains in jail without bond.
Bulloch County Sheriff’s deputies responded late Sunday night to a Lagoon Road home, where they found “Cameron Duke unconscious on the floor inside the residence,” said Sheriff Lynn Anderson. Cameron Duke had been stabbed in the side, and investigators found evidence indicating his brother, Christopher Michael Duke, 27, Lagoon Road, was responsible, he said.
Bulloch County EMS responded to the scene and treated Cameron Duke before having him airlifted to Memorial Health University Medical Center in Savannah, he said. He was listed in stable condition Thursday.
“Alcohol was determined to be a contributing factor in the incident,” Anderson said.
Christopher Michael Duke was charged with aggravated assault and possession of a knife during the commission of a crime. He was taken to the Bulloch County Jail after his arrest and awaits further court action as he is held without bond.
