'Action Pact' seniors yard sale 8 a.m.–
2 p.m. Saturday

Action Pact, the organization formerly known as Concerted Services, will hold its annual yard sale Saturday, April 6, from 8 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the Action Pact Center, 515 Denmark St., Statesboro, next to the Boys & Girls Club.

Yard sale proceeds benefit Action Pact's Seniors on the Move program. The event will feature a cake sale, other food items and clothing.

Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program, or LIHEAP, money remains available for area households who need help with heating bills and have not received assistance since Nov. 1.

Action Pact, formerly Concerted Services Inc., has received additional LIHEAP funds and will be taking applications until funds are exhausted or the end of April, whichever comes first. Eligibility is based on the income of every member of a household. Applicants must provide their Social Security numbers, photo identification, income verification and their most recent home heating bill to be approved.

Action Pact serves Bulloch, Candler, Evans, Effingham, Tattnall, Appling, Atkinson, Bacon, Brantley, Charlton, Clinch, Coffee, Jeff Davis, Long, Pierce, Toombs, Ware and Wayne counties. LIHEAP is a federally funded program.
