The Statesboro Kiwanis Club not only enjoyed a successful rodeo event in April, the club also was recognized for its marketing efforts during an awards ceremony August 27.
The club garnered several awards in the Kiwanis Georgia District Public Relations /Marketing Competition. The club competed in the Gold Division, for clubs with more than 75 members.
Statesboro Kiwanis won first place for its cable TV ad for the rodeo in the Audio or Video Segment category. The rodeo program book also took first place in the Special Event Flyer category. The club’s Statesboro Kiwanis Rodeo website also took first place in the E-brochure category.
Kiwanis GA District PR/Marketing Chairman Karen Losin presented the awards certificates to Bede Mitchell, Statesboro Kiwanis President, and Bill Anderson, Rodeo Co-Chairman, during a recent club meeting in Statesboro.
The Rodeo website was created by Jamie Gilleland. The Rodeo program book was designed by club members Don Poe, Bill Anderson, Jamie Gilleland and Presley Lomax.
The cable TV ad was the work of Northland Communications with input from Don Poe and Bill Anderson.
“Knowing how much effort was put into the rodeo campaign, it's nice to have the Georgia District recognize that effort with these awards,” Anderson said.
