When Corey Hendrix’s dad Tracy started Financial Equipment Maintenance Consulting in 1990, his primary clients were banks and financial institutions and he was the only employee. Now the company employs nearly 20 and has expanded to include security services for businesses of any type or size and homes. Last year they relocated their office to Highway 67 so they could accommodate the company’s growth.

“My dad built an incredible business that has made our company a market leader in the banking industry.  As we continue to work through the succession of leadership, my team and I are leveraging our reputation, knowledge and experience in the small business, commercial, municipal and residential sectors. We are known in these sectors as the smart, simple, affordable security solution”.

One of the keys to their success over the years has been in building one of the most knowledgeable teams in the industry and making that team available to their clients 24/7,” Hendrix, president of the company, said. “Clients tell them often that if they are trusted to secure some of the most high need security environments from banks to jails then they know they can easily handle any business or residential security need.

Also, Hendrix has embraced new technology, which has greatly expanded the opportunities available to residential and commercial customer clients.

“Through technology, we can now easily and affordably include features like remote door locks, cameras and app driven options that were out of reach financially for most residential and small business clients a few years ago,” he said. “We do a security evaluation for every client, no matter the size of the project and give the client scalable options that allow us to build a system that gives them peace of mind knowing their home, business and family are secure with their budget in mind.”

Corey said two of the fastest growing segments relying on their expertise are schools and churches. Ensuring these facilities are secure has become a priority for leaders and families who use these facilities. Often, these type projects are very challenging to secure, which makes having a partner like Financial Equipment Maintenance even more important.

They have expanded their commercial, church and municipal business to now cover Georgia, South Carolina and north Florida. They reach a two-hour radius of Statesboro with their residential clients.

With so many do-it-yourself and nationwide security companies offering a variety of security options, it is good to have a locally-owned, small business that can provide industry leading technology and security solutions for any size client.

In their new headquarters, they are designing a showroom where they can meet with clients and allow them to experience security and technology options before they purchase.

It is good to see family businesses like Financial Equipment Maintenance continue on to the next generation. Hendrix enjoys a challenge and like his dad, really focuses on designing security systems that match each client’s individual security concerns. This personalized approach is one that should bring continued growth and success to this wonderful Statesboro-based company.
