About 65 area elementary school students are attending “High School Musical 3” camp this week at the Averitt Center for the Arts. Operated by local producer and director Tony Phillips and Sherri Thompson, campers will perform “Highlights from High School Musical 3” inside the Emma Kelly Theater at 11 a.m. on Friday. The show is free. Also, the entire camp will perform during the F1rst Friday celebration on Friday at 5:30 p.m. on Siebald Street, right next to the Averitt Center.
