GSU student's autopsy results inconclusive
No obvious cause of death found

Preliminary autopsy reports for a Georgia Southern University student who died after collapsing in class Thursday morning were inconclusive.
    Bulloch County Coroner Jake Futch said Friday that the Georgia Bureau of Investigation crime lab reported no obvious indication of why Cory Wilson, 21, originally of Savannah, died. Wilson collapsed while attending class in the College of Business Administration building Thursday. He was pronounced dead a short time later at East Georgia Regional Medical Center.
    Toxicology testing will be conducted to learn why the junior management major died, Futch said. Report results could take several months to be returned.
    Bystanders performed CPR after Wilson collapsed, and when Bulloch County EMS arrived at the scene, they continued revival efforts and transported him to the hospital, Futch said.
    There were no signs of foul play, no outward signs indicating the cause of death, and Wilson had no significant medical history that would indicate possible causes of death, Futch said.
    A vigil organized by a “group of students from his fraternity” was held Thursday evening on Greek Row on campus, GSU spokesman Christian Flathman said.
    Counseling services for students who may need them after their classmate’s death are being made available through the University's Counseling and Career Development Center.
