GSU Botanical Garden spring festival and plant sale to be held Saturday
spring festival
Celebrate the beautiful spring weather at Georgia Southern Botanical Garden on Saturday, March 31, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Garden’s annual spring festival and plant sale.
This year, the Garden is exploring the benefits of greenspace with activities for all ages. There’s a healthy heart and spirit walk, kite making and flying, a labyrinth, interactive sculpture made from nature, and many more activities to celebrate the outdoors.
In addition, Heritage Organic Farms will be on hand to sell organic produce, Sugar Magnolia Bakery will have fresh bread, and there will be lots of information on using the outdoors and helping create greenspaces.
Microcosm’s Image, two graduate students from Georgia Southern University, will be displaying their unique nature photography in Bland Cottage and there will be live music by Jean Paul and Dominique Carton.
The highlight of the event is the Garden’s annual spring plant sale. This year, the Garden is overflowing with plants to sell. There are native azaleas, perennials, hanging baskets, herbs, and lots more--everything you need for you spring garden.
The event is free and open to the public.
