Gov. Nathan Deal will make an appearance in Statesboro today, visiting the campus of Georgia Southern University.
Deal will join Georgia Southern President Brooks Keel on the steps of the university’s Marvin Pittman Administration building at 11:30 a.m., where he will sign into a law a piece of legislation that will affect economic and workforce development in Savannah and Georgia’s coastal region, according to a university press.
The release does not identify the specific nature of the legislation, which will be the first signed on campus in several years, according to university staff.
Deal’s visit is part of a statewide workforce development tour.
