Guido Ministries in Metter is hosting the Michael Guido Memorial Golf Tournament on May 25 at the Willow Lake Golf Club in Metter.

Sponsors and players are needed to help the ministry meet their fundraising goal for this year's tournament, called "Golf for the Gardens," and proceeds will be used to revitalize and replace many of the flowers and vegetation that have thrilled visitors for almost four decades. Additionally, a worn-out sprinkler system needs to be replaced.

"Gardens, like people, age," said Dr. Larry Guido, president of Guido Evangelistic Association and Guido Bible College. "For over 35 years, Guido Gardens has been the place where people come to pause and find peace, pray and find hope, meditate and find wisdom, sit and find rest, walk and discover beauty, meet and greet friends and bring their children to enjoy God's creation."

The event begins with lunch at noon, followed by a four-man scramble. Tee time is at 1 p.m. All sponsors and players will be given lunch, beverages, five free raffle tickets and a team photo. A cart is included for players, and additional raffle tickets may be purchased prior to the tournament.

For more information about becoming a sponsor, donating raffle items or registering for the tournament, call (912) 685-2222.
