Attic Sale is Saturday, 1 month earlier than usual
W 100113 ATTIC SALE 01
With their arms full of finds, sisters Kim Evans, left, and Jan Lane still peruse the thousands of items on sale while heading to the check-out Tuesday at the Statesboro Service League pre-Attic Sale at the Kiwanis Ogeechee Fairgrounds. Members of the Service League got first dibs before Saturday's giant annual Attic Sale, which is open to the public from 7-11 a.m. Proceeds help fund charities and service projects.
The Statesboro Service League’s Attic Sale will have a new time, but same charitable cause in 2013. The 40th annual event is scheduled for Saturday from 7-11 a.m. at the Kiwanis Ogeechee Fairgrounds, nearly one month sooner than its traditional date — a move was necessitated by the Kiwanis Ogeechee Fair being scheduled one week later than usual this year. Members of the Service League have once again collected hundreds of items throughout the year to be sold and used as means for funding charities and service projects.
