Statesboro Police Arrests
    Arrests made Friday and Saturday will be published Monday.

     Incidents occurring  Friday and Saturday will be published Monday.    
     
Bulloch Sheriff's Incidents
      BELL ROAD — (Brooklet) A man reported a telescope, utility trailer, extension cords, air hose, several power tools, scaffolding and ladder jacks taken in a burglary.
    FIVE CHOP ROAD — (Clito) A woman found a propane burner underneath her window, and a small cut in the screen. The burner does not belong to her.
    U.S. 80 EAST — (Statesboro) A woman told deputies went inside her home and threw all the clothes in her closet to the floor.
    PAMELA WAY — (Statesboro) Deputies responded to a reported domestic dispute over a man's adult daughter moving in with him and a woman.
    SILVER DOLLAR SALOON — (Register) A woman told deputies a man grabbed her on the back on the neck and slapped her. She said the bar management spoke to the offender and the offender stopped bothering her, but she wanted to file a report and obtain a protective order.
    CEDARWOOD ACRES MOBILE HOME PARK — (Register) A woman reported the theft of a DVD player, X-box and assorted games, DVD movies, and three pairs of shoes during a burglary at her home.
    ZETTWELL ROAD — (Statesboro) A man said someone broke into a friend's disabled car and took a CD player, speakers and a speaker box. He saw a suspect leaning into the vehicle and questioned him, but the suspect fled.
    LANNIE ELLIS ROAD — (Statesboro) Three adults fought in the presence of children and were all charged.
       
Georgia State Patrol Incidents
     Incidents occurring  Friday and Saturday will be published Monday.
    BULLOCH COUNTY — During the month of July, Georgia State Patrol Post 45 Troopers investigated 63 traffic crashes, resulting in 38 injuries and three fatalities. Troopers also issued 244 citations including 13 DUI arrests, 106 speeding tickets, 29 seat belt violations, and three child restraint violations. They also issued 256 warnings.
    CANDLER COUNTY — During the month of July, Georgia State Patrol Post 45 Troopers investigated 13 traffic crashes, resulting in 10 injuries and no fatalities. Troopers also issued 168 citations including six DUI arrests, 94 speeding tickets, 25 seat belt violations, and six child restraint violations. They also issued 135 warnings.
    EVANS COUNTY — During the month of July, Georgia State Patrol Post 45 Troopers investigated eight traffic crashes, resulting in six injuries and no fatalities. Troopers also issued 174 citations including 12 DUI arrests, 36 speeding tickets, 40 seat belt violations, and seven child restraint violations. They also issued 149 warnings.

    The Statesboro-Bulloch County Animal Shelter reported the following activity for the week of  July 28-Aug. 1:
    Animals received:
    Rural county areas, Bulloch Humane Enforcement  —  29 dogs and 10 cats.
    Statesboro city limits, Bulloch Humane Enforcement — four dogs and one cat.
    Surrendered by citizens — two dogs and three cats.
    Number in litters surrendered — three puppies and 17 kittens.
    Animals out:
    Shelter adoptions — three dogs and three cats.
    Returned to owners — two dogs.
    Died at shelter — a dog and nine cats.
    Euthanized  from isolation — 22 dogs and 36 cats.
    Euthanized from adoption floor — three dogs.
    Humane Enforcement calls:
    Snake complaints — one.
    Horse complaints — one.
    Court summons/citations — two.
    Warnings — 10.
