Sarah Chester earns promotion at First Southern

            First Southern National Bank announces the promotion of Sarah Chester to assistant banking officer / deposit specialist.

            Chester will oversee and direct First Southern's Business Banking, as well as handle the marketing and sales of commercial products, including Commercial Capture, Health Savings Accounts, and Cash Management, to existing and potential customers. She will continue to work closely with the community and small businesses, building new business relationships.

            First Southern president and CEO, Tommy David said, “Sarah’s customer service skills and ability to give her customers more than they expect is a huge benefit to the bank, our customers and the community. We are pleased to recognize her hard work and dedication with this much-deserved promotion.”

            Prior to joining the First Southern team in February of 2005, Chester worked in sales as a staffing manager for Robert Half International in Jacksonville, Fla. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Management from Georgia Southern University.

            Chester is active in the community and currently serves as secretary and scholarship chair of the Professional Women of Statesboro, is president of Phi Mu Alumni Chapter of Statesboro, and is a 2007 graduate of Leadership Bulloch. She also serves on the board of Keep Bulloch Beautiful and chairs the Green Committee at First Southern.

            Chester resides in Statesboro with her husband, Statesboro native, Justin Chester.
