Kahley to lead First Southern mortgage division

     First Southern National Bank recently announced the promotion of Kelly Kahley to head of the Mortgage Division. She will lead the bank's business development efforts as well.
      Kahley's new duties include coordinating all efforts with First Southern's mortgage lending departments at the Main Branch, Market District and Effingham offices. This includes training, recruiting, hiring, overseeing and implementing the strategic plan for mortgage lending at the bank. In addition, she will coordinate and manage business development and sales efforts for the bank.
      First Southern President and CEO, Tommy David said, "Kelly's experience and knowledge of mortgage lending, combined with her excellent banking and customer service skills are invaluable to the bank, our customers and the community. This is a well deserved promotion based on Kelly's hard work and dedication to First Southern."
      Kahley joined First Southern in August 2006, bringing with her more than 18 years in mortgage lending and banking industry experience. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from Georgia Southern University in 1990. Kelly was recently voted "Best Mortgage Lender in the ‘Boro" by readers of the Statesboro Herald.

     Kahley is active in the community, serving as the 2008 Statesboro-Bulloch Chamber of Commerce Special Events Chair and as a board member of Homebuilders of Statesboro. She is currently a member of the Statesboro Board of Realtors, Statesboro Service League, Professional Women of Statesboro, and serves as Treasurer for the Phi Mu Alumnae chapter. Kelly and her husband, Karl, reside in Statesboro with their two children, Cameron and Christina, and are members of First Baptist Church in Statesboro.
