All Bulloch County public schools are getting ready for their Monday, July 28, open houses.

Originally scheduled for July 31, the open houses at each of Bulloch's 15 schools and learning programs are now set for July 28, with elementary schools open from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. and middle and high schools from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Also, some schools offer additional open house events specifically for students entering transition years such as Pre-Kindergarten, sixth grade and ninth grade. Check for updates directly from your child's school about the additional events.

"Open House is the perfect time to meet teachers and principals, find classrooms, pick up important information, find ways to volunteer and more," Heyley Greene, director of Public Relations for Bulloch County Schools, wrote in an email release.

Register new students now online

If a child is not registered for the upcoming school year, Greene urged parents and guardians to "register your child online before open house to avoid the back-to-school rush. A completed registration is required before a child may begin school. Families are encouraged to register early to be ready for a great first day."

Online registration is now open at bullochschools.org/registration for children entering kindergarten through 12th grade.

All registrations must include:

➤ Proof of residency in Bulloch County

➤ A custodial parent's or guardian's photo identification

➤ Child's proof of age (birth certificate preferred)

A checklist of other required documents for registration can be found on the school district's website at bullochschools.org/register. You may use your cellular telephone's Notes app to scan documents that you may then upload.

Need help to register?

➤ If you don't have internet or a digital device, you may schedule an appointment to use a registration kiosk at your child's school.

➤ If you are registering multiple children, schedule your appointment at your oldest child's school. That school can help you register your other children too.

➤ High school offices are open throughout the summer. All elementary and middle school offices are now open for weekday, in-person enrollment appointments.
