Regardless of whether you like peanuts, Saturday promises a day full of food, fun and family as the 28th annual Brooklet Peanut Festival gives the goober its day in the spotlight. The festival celebrates Brooklet’s rich agricultural history and its major crop, peanuts. There will be an abundance of the penders available throughout the day — boiled, fried, roasted and in candies and baked goods, said Randy Newman, event chairman.
