A single-vehicle accident took the life of a Brooklet man on Sunday. Payton Gibson Salzman, 21, of Doe Run Road in Brooklet, was traveling on Old Groveland Road around 1:30 a.m. Sunday when he lost control of his 2004 Ford F150 as he entered a curve, according to Georgia State Patrol Post 45 reports. He traveled 141 feet along the west shoulder before overcorrecting and re-entering the roadway.
