Six suspects have been arrested and charged in two separate incidents over the past two weeks.

According to a release from the Bulloch County Sheriff’s Office, on Aug. 4, Statesboro Police officers responded to an armed robbery at Market 100 Apartments on Bermuda Run Road, where it was reported that residents of an apartment had been held up at gunpoint by “several offenders.” The suspects took items from the victims and a vehicle before leaving the scene.

After an investigation, three suspects were identified: Anthony Jamar Curtis, 22, of a Tillman Road address; Demarco Eason, 19, of Maple Street; and Donald Thomas, 21, of Woodland Drive.

On Aug. 11, Curtis was arrested and charged with two counts of armed robbery, one count of entering auto and one count of possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime.

In a subsequent incident on Aug. 12, the remaining two suspects, Eason and Thomas, were arrested after officers responded to a report of two black males pointing a gun at another at Parker’s Enzone on Chandler Road.

According to the report, the complainant followed the suspects to a Copper Beach Townhomes apartment on Statesboro Place Circle. After officers arrived, they found Eason on the rear balcony of the apartment and Thomas at the front of the apartment, where they were arrested.

After noticing the odor of marijuana coming from the apartment, police obtained a search warrant and found a felony amount of marijuana, digital scales and two firearms, one of which was stolen, in the residence.

Three other occupants of the apartment were then arrested, including Omar Thomas, 19, of Johnson Street; Donayahi Williams, 18, of Best Street; and a 16-year-old juvenile.

Eason and Donald Thomas were charged with two counts of armed robbery, one count of entering auto, one count of possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime, one count of marijuana possession with intent to distribute, one count of possession of a drug-related object and one count of disorderly conduct.

Eason was also charged with one count of giving false information and one count of theft by receiving stolen property (firearm).

Both Omar Thomas and Williams were charged with one count of marijuana possession with intent to distribute and one count of possession of a drug-related object.
