Four convenience store armed robberies over the weekend — three out in the county and one inside the Statesboro city limits — have Statesboro Police and Bulloch County Sheriff's investigators seeking information about possibly three suspects.
Friday around 9:30 p.m., a light-skinned black male and a darker-complected black male entered Clyde's Market at U.S. 301 North and Veteran's Memorial Parkway, said Bulloch County Sheriff Lynn Anderson.
One of the men showed a gun and robbed the clerk of an undisclosed amount of cash, he said.
A short time later the Fast Stop at Grove Lakes subdivision on U.S. 80 East was robbed by suspects of the same description. While deputies responded to the scene, reports came in about Clyde's market in Brooklet being robbed as well, he said.
The suspects in that robbery matched the descriptions of offenders in the other robberies, he said.
Then, around 1:30 a.m. Saturday, two men matching the descriptions of offenders in the first three robberies entered the GATE station on South Main Street, showed a gun partially covered in a shirt or cloth, and robbed the clerk there of an undisclosed amount of money, said Statesboro Police Capt. Scott Brunson.
No one was hurt in any of the incidents. Anderson said he believes there was a third person involved, driving a getaway vehicle.
Det. Ben Purvis is leading the investigation regarding the GATE robbery while Inv. Walter Deal is leading the investigations into the robberies in  the county and Brooklet.
Statesboro Police have surveillance  video showing the robbery at GATE. Anyone with information about either of these armed robberies is asked to call the Bulloch County Sheriff's Department at 764-8888, Inv. Walter Deal at 764-1788; Statesboro Police Det. Ben Purvis at 764-1542 or the Statesboro Police Department at 764-9911.
