Three women suffered injury Tuesday morning when one driver failed to yield and pulled into the path of another driver.
Ethel Jones, 71, Jones Avenue, Portal, was driving a white 1993 Ford pickup truck on First Avenue, heading for U.S. 80 West, when she failed to yield and entered the path of a white 2008 Nissan Altima driven by Felicia Johnson, 31, Gator Road, Portal, said Portal Police Chief Jason Sapp.
The crash injured both drivers, as well as Bernice Gilbert, 54, Larry Smith Trailer Park, Portal, he said. None of the injuries were serious, with all three complaining of neck and shoulder pain as well as Johnson complaining of leg pain, he said.
All three involved were transported by EMS for treatment. Sapp said Jones was at fault in the accident, but the crash remains under investigation and charges are pending.
