Police arrested an 18-year-old man and a juvenile teen in connection to a rash of burglaries last week in the Whispering Pines subdivision. Between March 15 and March 16, Statesboro police officers responded to five burglaries in the area, where numerous electronic devices were stolen, said Maj. Rob Bryan, interim police chief. On March 16, Detective Ben Purvis "received a tip that led him to a residence near the burglary locations, where he made contact with several occupants to include an adult female, a juvenile male and an adult male identified as Stefon Wigfall," Bryan said.
