The annual Statesboro Kiwanis Rodeo was held April 28 and 29 at the Bulloch County Agricultural Complex.

The rodeo is presented by Hedrick Rodeo Company, described as "professional rodeo at its best." The local event began in 2011, and is one of two fundraisers held annually by the Statesboro Kiwanis Club.

Crowds at this year's event were treated to a night of bull and bronc riding, as well as calf and team roping. There's also a calf scramble, wheelbarrow race, and a specialty act, like trick riding or roping. Barrel racing always gets the crowd pumped, as horse and rider race around barrels in an attempt to get the fastest time. A crowd favorite is always the steer dressing, where local teams attempt to dress a steer.
