Michael and Deborah Whitfield announce the engagement of their daughter, Dana Michelle Whitfield of Statesboro, to Samuel Ellis Buchli of Statesboro, son of the late Martin "Buddy" Samuel Buchli and Cindy Buchli.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late David Whitfield, Madelyne Whitfield, the late Marion E. Mann and Allena Mann. Dana is a graduate of Bulloch Academy and received a degree from Armstrong Atlantic University. She is employed with Babies Can't Wait.

The groom-elect received a fish and wildlife management degree from Ogeechee Technical College and is employed with Whitfield Sign Co.

The couple is planning to wed on Sept. 21, 2019, at Yonah Mountain Vineyards in Cleveland, Georgia.
