Whitney Leah Skeeters and Yancey Collin Mooney

    Mr. and Mrs. W. John Lee of Statesboro and Mr. and Mrs. Mike Skeeters of Atlanta are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Whitney Leah Skeeters, to Yancey Collin Mooney, son of Dr. and Mrs. Robert Mooney of Statesboro.
    Whitney is the granddaughter of Diane K. Rowe of Statesboro, J.E. and Jan Rowe of St. Augustine, Fla., and Neal and Pat Skeeters of Snellville, Ga. She is the great-granddaughter of Emily Rahn Keene of Statesboro, Ga. Whitney graduated from Bulloch Academy in 2005. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and Mass Communications from the Grady School of Journalism at the University of Georgia in 2009. She was a member of Kappa Alpha Theta Sorority. She is currently employed with the Houston Home Journal as the online marketing manager of the newspaper for Houston County.
    Yancey is the grandson of Betty Bunch of Statesboro, the late Grover Cleveland Collins and the late Dr. John and Dorothy C. Mooney. Yancey graduated from Bulloch Academy in 2005. He received his Bachelor of Science in Health and Kinesiology from Georgia Southern University in 2009. He then attended the Medical University of South Carolina, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Cardiovascular Perfusion in 2012. He is an alumnus of the Eta Zeta Chapter of the Sigma Chi Fraternity. Yancey is currently employed with the Medical Center of Central Georgia in Macon, Ga., as a perfusionist.
    Whitney and Yancey plan to marry on April 6, 2013.
