Mr. Jeffrey Rushing and Mrs. Denise Larisey of Statesboro, Georgia, announce the engagement of their daughter, Charlene Rushing of Statesboro, to David Keith Hardee, son of Mr. and Mrs. David W. Hardee.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Inman "Cooter" and Rebecca Miller. She is a 2008 graduate of Southeast Bulloch High School and is currently employed as a customer service manager at Hobby Lobby.

The groom-elect is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Joe B. Hardee of Oak Park, Georgia, and the late Mr. and Mrs. TJ Clifton of Metter. He is a 2008 graduate of Statesboro High School and received an associate's degree from East Georgia College. He is currently employed at First Baptist Church of Statesboro.

The couple plans to wed on February 28 at 2 p.m. in the First Baptist Church historic sanctuary.
